Continued birthday celebrations

So last time I updated you was to tell you about the celebrations leading up to my birthday.
My actual birthday was on Monday, I went to uni wearing all my new jewellery and using my new bag. On Monday evening me and 10 friends went to Bella Italia which was lovely, and then to Vodka Revs for a few drinks.
My housemates told me I'd have to wait until my party on Friday for my present but I did get a dinosaur painting set and a card.
I painted on Wednesday.

Last night was my official party night!
We decorated the living room and provided nibbles.

I started the night with cocktails, one of my presents from Mum and Dad.

Then people started to arrive and my friend had made a 'Big Bang Theory' drinking game by re-writing the rules to 'Ring of Fire'. If you already know the rules, they are basically the same but worded in a nerdy way!

After playing I was given my presents-
Some sweeties and a birdcage candle holder with a duck shaped candle! A Disney Wonder room diffuser which is the same scent as my Dumbo teddy. The mini suitcase contains photos and lots of envelopes with letters from all my friends wishing me a happy birthday, a lovely thing to keep.

We then went to the SU and I had an amazing time dancing and I think all of my friends did too.
I woke up with a happy hangover today and can avoid the post birthday blues with sweeties, vouchers and birthday money to continue the spoiling!

All in all- The best 21st I could have wished for from my lovely friends and family!

Birthday Celebrations!

This post is a bit early because it is actually my birthday tomorrow but I celebrated it at home this weekend and let me tell you, I was SO spoilt!

On Friday me and mum went shopping and I picked out some presents and we had a nice lunch. Then I went to work (the pub) for some drinks with friends.

Yesterday we had a lazy 'Big Bang' day and then Grandma arrived and Mum presented me with this amazing cake....

....which was really tasty! Then we went for a gorgeous meal at a local pub and came home for pink champagne.
Today I went shopping with Grandma to pick out presents and was spoilt, yet again, in Pandora.
We then came home and I opened more presents and  had a lovely tea party prepared by Mum with yet more cake. Here is just some of the awesome gifts I received.

The tea party!
Lovely cupcakes
All my presents. They were presented in gorgeous bird storage boxes. The biggest contained two cocktail glasses, a bottle of vodka, a bottle of Martini Asti and cocktail mixes. The medium contained a netbook (spoilt!). I also got a Kath Kidston mug and bracelet from one of Mum's friends, and a manicure voucher to use in my uni town from a neighbour (brilliant!). I think Mum's intention was to get me 21 presents but she got carried away!
The awesome £21 man from another of Mum's friends!
New editions to the Pandora on the left, the bird and teapot from Grandma and the flower charm from a  lovely friend.
The handbag I picked from Grandma and you can also see my 'Keep Calm You're 21' mug.
Gorgeous 'Liquid Silver' pendent from Grandma.
Benefit perfume, make up and make up bag I picked from Mum and Dad.
And this isn't even everything! I am also going to be in constant supply of Lush bath bombs for a while with my gift card and lots of other things I haven't mentioned.
I cannot thank my family enough (especially Mum for putting in all the effort with the food/cake) and I cannot believe how lucky I am. It's not even my Birthday yet, I'm going out for a meal tomorrow and a night out on Friday so I'll have to give you an update.
This has been the best weekend ever.

Back at University

So I'm back in my uni house for a few days of lectures before I head home again for a weekend of birthday celebrations which I'm very excited about!
I had a more sociable, busy time at home than usual because I was working and going out with the girls from work, who I've recently become closer too. I loved being busy and had a lovely time.

Coming back to my uni house was actually rather boring, it was the lack of TV that I noticed (mainly Big Bang Theory). It was nice to see my housemates and uni friends again but I needed to get used to having time to myself again to be productive and occupy myself, I found time for a bath!
Of course I am very very excited about my birthday so I have that to look forward to and a fun filled weekend planned which has made starting my final term a bit less stressful.

I'm also trying to be healthy (with the exception of this weekend of course) and so far , on day 2, It's going well. I feel better for it and am off for a swim tonight so hopefully I'll be all set for summer.

There was time for one huge farewell chocolate fudge cake to share with the girls before I left though! How big is this?!

Wish List

The materialist in me would like to show you some lovely things that I would like.
Firstly, I was contemplating asking for the pendant on the left from Pandora for my birthday then I saw the other from Links of London (for a lot more money) and can't decide which I like more!

Baking with Bobbet

Yesterday It was time for another baking session with Bobbet. The the theme this time was Oreos.
I would say it was the most disaster-free session we've had, would you agree Bobbet?

Our inspiration was...
Spring Formal Owl Cupcakes 032 800x533 Easy Oreo Owl Cupcakes

and

and apart from a few tweaks with the sweets used, these were the results....

and I think they turned out pretty well! Unfortunately I'm a perfectionist so ended up doing most of the decorating but I couldn't have done it without Bobbet because she is an expert at splitting the Oreos without breaking them.
We did have a lot of Oreo carnage though!

We also made cookies...

which we decorated in various ways...

Bobbet made a legendary Weasley and a headless man! All in all it was good, very tasty, fun.

My week

So to update you on this week, I went to Manchester on Thursday and met with four friends (two of which I hadn't seen in a long time). It was a lovely day, first stop was Las Iguanas for lunch and a much needed catch up. We then looked around the shops which was fun and got me excited about the prospect of Birthday money and summer. I didn't buy much but it was lovely to see everyone.

On Friday I then went shopping again on the search for something to wear for my Birthday night out, it resulted in me buying three tops, one with butterflies, one with birds and one with feathers on (the current theme in the shops).

After working at the weekend I went out with the girls from work on Sunday. We briefly went to a nearby Jazz festival but decided desserts from Pizza Hut, wine and Titanic were a better idea.
We spent the night playing with her lovely doggies and curling each other's hair, oh and creating funny videos on the just dance app.

Oh and I got an easter egg from a regular at work!

Grandma came to visit this weekend too, and although I was working it was lovely to see her. I made easter cakes....

Home for Easter

So I headed home for Easter on Wednesday after a lazy start to the week at uni and some assignment writing.
I've been working at the pub all weekend and I was lucky enough to have three late shifts (1am on Friday and Saturday and a little earlier last night), but I really enjoyed seeing everyone again actually and it was fun.
I managed to fit in some tea and cake with Mum and Dad and a trip to a Vintage fair too, which was fun.
This week consists of catching up with old and new friends in between assignment writing, If only the sun would stay with us!
